Outer Heaven

There are a couple of sayings that I hear about Heaven and people in Heaven, and these sayings annoy me to no end.
The first is "So and so is looking down from Heaven and they are so proud of you!" I'm not sure what all goes on in Heaven, but I'd imagine that people in Heaven, being in constant direct fellowship with God, have better things to do than look down on all us sinners.
The second is "There are so many glimpses of Heaven right here on Earth! God gives us little glimpses into Heaven!" Yes, there are many incredible things that we experience here on Earth: the beauty of nature, love, sex, even amazing food and drink. But if these things are glimpses into Heaven, and that's the best that awaits us on the other side, I don't want a part of it. Give me love, give me nature, give me food, but if the best of what's here on Earth is going to be repeated in Heaven, then God can keep it to His mediocre self.
Fortunately for us all, Heaven is going to be better than that. So much better, in fact, that I don't think any of us have a clue of how good it is going to be.
